The 6-80 is one of the most respected and reliable instruments for measuring environmental Gamma radiation levels. It is fully portable and comes in it's own custom fit carry case. This one has been in long-term storage, it has been very little used and is in almost as-new condition.

 

The case contents include the ratemeter unit, powered by 4 x 1.5 volt C cells (estimated run time of 480 hours used 4 hours per day). It has an analogue meter, with a logarithmic scale reading from 0.05 to 75 'µGy/h in air'. Additionally there is a 5-digit LCD display for the built-in scaler, which counts, in one-second increments from 0 - 19,999. It comes with a Type MC-70 compensated Geiger Müller probe, connecting cable and a fully adjustable tripod. A copy of the original instruction manual, tripod support brackets and carry strap are also provided.  The unit is in excellent condition -- no scratches of dents etc. -- and only a couple of very minor scuff marks. It is in full working order and will be calibrated -- according to Mini Instruments protocols -- immediately prior to dispatch. A certificate of calibration will be provided.
