Additional Instructions for DSRB-88PC
Windows XP
1. Open your browser and go to: http://www.anythingradioactive.com/downloads/,
double-click on CDVcounter.zip and download the file to a folder on your PC
2. When the download has completed use the Open command or
locate the file in My Computer or Windows Explorer and select Extract All
Files, then Next, and Windows will extract the files to a folder called CDV
Counter. Launch the program by clicking CDVcounter.exe.
Windows 98/SE/ME, 2k & NT users
If you haven’t already got a file decompression program like
WinZip on your PC you can download a decent freeware utility called IZArc from http://www.izarc.org/download.html.
Download the file to a folder on your PC and double-click
the file to install the program on your PC. Once that has completed follow the
steps for Windows XP, except this time you will be using IZArc to extract the
files.

Connecting the DSRB-88PC to your computer.
Plug one end of the cable into the jack socket on the base of
the DSRB-88PC; the other end goes to the microphone socket on your PC.
Make sure the microphone input is enabled and not muted by
double-clicking the volume control (loudspeaker) icon in the System Tray, next
to the clock on your desktop to open the Master Volume control panel.
If the microphone control isn’t shown click Options >
Properties and check the item Mic Volume. Set the microphone volume about
halfway and you should hear clicks from the DSRB-88PC through your PC’s
speakers.
Depending on your PC’s audio capabilities you may have to
adjust the Detection Threshold setting, we found values of between 10 and 50
works on most PCs and laptops.
